Data Management Day 2013

The University of Waterloo Library, in collaboration with the Polar Data Catalogue hosted the 2nd annual "Data Management Day" on October 24, 2013. Occurring during Open Access Week, its purpose is to raise awareness and discuss the issues surrounding the discovery, access and preservation of data.


Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme & Ted Talks

Explore the ever-changing cryospheric environments of the Arctic, Greenland, Antarctica and glaciers throughout the world. Meet the passionate people who are portraying an informative visualization of these complex landscapes through researching past and present conditions, confronting the various anthropogenic challenges and the use of art to generate a perspective of the immense scale.

Data Management Day 2012

 

On 25 October 2012, the Polar Data Catalogue/CCIN and the University of Waterloo Library hosted Data Management Day. Below are videos of the four morning presentations, from Sallie Ann Keller, Provost, University of Waterloo; Chad Gaffield, President, Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada; Warwick Vincent, Professor of Biology, Université Laval; and Alan Darnell, Director, Scholars Portal Services, Ontario Council of University Libraries.
